Not a Baby Anymore....

Brody has told me on several occasions over the past few weeks that he is not a baby anymore...sigh... He was just moved to the "big boy class" at school and so now he all about being a big boy. A few nights ago he catapulted himself out of his crib for the first time and simply refused to get back in it (holy cow we had a few really bad nights). We decided it was time for the big boy bed ... and a trip to PB Kids. BTW...he totally loves my selection!! Here's his new big boy room. He insisted that the bed have him name on it so I made a sign...which he ripped off and ate a portion of, hence the jagged edges! We had a rough first go at the whole big boy bed the first night...but the second and third night...no problems at all! Indeed, he's not a baby anymore...sigh again...

Have your cupcake and eat it too!

Cupcake and New Kicks Saturday

It was cupcake Saturday at our house today! Brody is totally going to be a Top Chef! I'm sorry to report that one of us didn't eat our dinner so they didn't get to eat any cupcakes (and no, it wasn't me...my motto is: you never know where your next meal is coming from so eat up...clink clink of the silver ice cream spoon--that's for you AMB). We also got the kid some new kicks today and he went crazy over them!

You got pizza?

A sure sign that you order way too much pizza is when your child asks the man standing at the door waiting to be let in to give us an estimate on some drywall work..."you got pizza?" Brody's perplexed as to why we aren't currently consuming triangles of cheese. Go figure!

NO Floaties!

While watching the Olympics, Brody is quick to point out that Michael Phelps needs no floaties. Brody on the other hand, needs floaties!

On a side note, our new favorite thing to do is "hold our balls" while going potty. Nice...wonder how taught him that one?

20 years...say it ain't so...

Danny and I spent this past weekend reconnecting with old friends from high school at our 20th High School Reunion. We both graduated from MIHS in 1988 so it was great fun for both of us at the reunion because we both knew people. Now everyone is trying to stay connected through Facebook which is driving me nuts because I don't know how to use it yet b/c I am old (hello, TWENTIETH reunion...for crying out loud). In any event, we had loads of fun and here's a snap shot of us all gussied up for your viewing pleasure.
